Full Job Description
The EHR Support Specialist will help to meet and improve the achievement of the SHP mission, vision, and staff utilization of the Electronic Health Record through support and enhancement related tasks. This role contributes to the improvement of client care in the communities we serve as an integral part of a high-performance IT/IS team and focuses on EHR support and project work. Essential duties include, but are not limited to: Provide exceptional customer service that is both professional and accommodating; Provide support and response to end users via phone, email, and/or other communication tools for issue resolution pertinent to SummitStone’s HER, myAvatar; Front line resolution, investigation, and documentation of user requests and issues regarding myAvatar; Work effectively with vendors, when needed, for issue resolution and documentation; Work in tandem with the EHR Development Analyst on projects, resolutions, and documentation; Participate in implementation and enhancement of new EHR modules and upgrades; Perform testing on new modules and applications in the EHR and compile pertinent documentation; Actively participate in knowledge sharing/cross-training, report on common sources of technical issues and communicate key insights and test findings. Escalation of tickets and issues to the proper IT/IS resources; Perform basic end user helpdesk assistance, ticket resolution, ticket assignment, and ticket queue management via helpdesk phone, email, and portal; Adhere to all privacy and security of information governed by SummitStone policy as well as State and Federal Legislation.

- Required: Associates degree; 2-3 years experience in a related position; Knowledge of Electronic Health Record practice and clinical workstation systems; Experience in an IT/IS environment; Experience in a healthcare environment
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Experience working with myAvatar; Customer support and IT Helpdesk experience; Bi-lingual/BI-Cultural.
- $43,638 – $52,375 annual/ $20.97 – $25.18 hourly
